Al Di Meola Guitar Lick Day 12 Racing With The Devil, a few days ago I showed one of the licks I began practicing to help stretch my total lack of skill on the guitar, and mentioned to start simple.. Well after 30yrs off the guitar, Al Di Meola’s Race with the devil is NOT simple. Not in any way shape or form. But I am always up for a challenge. This is gonna take a while. I was able to get the fingering for the Police’s “Bring on the night” in about nine days (which I STILL can’t do perfect, but at least its close)… So far its now twelve days on Race, and I’m way not even close to the pace its played at, but I got the fingering and notes being played.. its just the manner in which its being played thats killing me… But everyday I gotta just keep at it.
